St. John's School Philosophy
St. John's Lutheran Ministries - Missouri Synod, along with the universal Christian Church, believes in the one true God who reveals Himself in three persons: the Father, creator of all that exists; Jesus Christ, the Son, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in victory over death and Satan; and the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God's Word and Sacraments.
St. John's School exists as part of our church's total mission. We see our school as a valuable way to share the love of Jesus with families in our area in response to the Great Commission, commanded by Jesus to His disciples. Firstly, one has sincere faith in Jesus Christ and secondly, they act in faith and share the Gospel of salvation throughout the world.
St. John's School hopes to motivate our students and their families to go forth and do likewise. Our staff strives to model the love of Christ as He is at the center of all that we do. An environment that incorporates this model promotes the formation of caring, respectful relationships which are the foundation of successful learning. Children are loved and cared for as a gift from God, with unique talents and a purpose designed by their Creator.
With this in mind, our instructional program is designed to develop each student's individual strengths and abilities. We believe it is our purpose to provide our students excellent academic, social, emotional and spiritual preparation ensuring that they are equipped with the tools for success when they leave our campus.
